Was born in Grafton, New Hampshire, August 29th, 1839, and removed to Joliet in 1870. He was a veteran of the Civil War, having enlisted in the 2nd N. H. Reg. In April 1861, and later in the 6th Reg., where he served until the close of the war. His death occurred February 28th, last (1909).
