- Capt. James G. Elwood, 78, a native of Lockport and resident of Joliet seventy-four years. Mr. Elwood was once mayor. Prominent in city and social affairs; also in Masonic and G. A. R. circles. A leader in business, political, fraternal and patriotic life for half a century.
