Joliet Evening Herald, Vol. 6, No. 158, Thursday, May 26, 1910
  Captain Hamilton A. Anderson, for twenty years a citizen of Joliet, died at his home, 131 Akin Avenue, early this morning, following a few weeks’ illness.
  Captain Anderson served for five years in the war of the rebellion, and at the expiration of his time he was offered a commission in the regular army.  Mr. Anderson was born in Wheatland, London County, Virginia, March 8, 1835.
   He came to Joliet in 1885, and has since resided here.  Mr. Anderson is survived by a wife and three children who are Norman of Chicago; E.W. Anderson of Grand View, Iowa, and Mrs. Harry Brown of Joliet.
   The funeral services will be private.  The time has not been announced.
